How To Get Legend Tokens In Apex

In order to gain access to some of the game's coolest Legends and cosmetics, you'll need to have a hefty amount of Legend tokens. We've put together an easy how-to guide that should show you the ropes.

For those new to Apex Legends, perhaps inspired by the recent influx of streamers enjoying the game like NICKMERCS, you may be wondering how you can get Legend Tokens.

Even if you're not new, you may not know all the ways in which you can obtain the currency, so for all those players, here's how you can get Apex Legends Legend Tokens.

As well as the seasonal Battle Pass, Apex Legends has loads of cosmetics and items available for players through a variety of avenues.

While a lot of cosmetics are provided through the base game for each of the Legends that players can purchase or craft, Apex Legends also offers items through the store.

Often Apex Legends will have exclusive recolors of skins in the store which players can only purchase with Legend Tokens, and with the recent recolor store takeover in Season 10, players may be wondering how to get more of the currency.

Legend Tokens are used to purchase new Legends and exclusive recolors.

Respawn Entertainment hasn't exactly made it easy for fans to distinguish between all the different currencies the game possesses.

Apex Legends currently has four main currencies in the game:

Apex Coins
Legend Tokens
Crafting Metals
Heirloom Shards

While Apex Coins act as the main currency that players can obtain through the Battle Pass and actually spending some real cash, Crafting Metals, Heirloom Shards, and Legend Tokens are slightly different.

Crafting Metals are earned through the Battle Pass and can also be obtained through Apex Packs. Heirloom Shards are also a rare drop in Apex Packs.

Legend Tokens work slightly differently from these other currencies.

How to get Legend Tokens

Legend Tokens can be acquired by simply leveling up in Apex Legends. Once players achieve level 4 they will gain 600 Legend Tokens for every level up.

To unlock a new Legend it will cost 12,000 Legend Tokens, meaning players will have to reach at least level 20 before they will have enough to purchase a new Legend, so pick one wisely. Even if you hit the ceiling in terms of the game's level cap, you can still continue to earn more tokens via experience points in matches.

Here are the best ways that you can level up fast in Apex Legends:

Kill an enemy to earn 50 XP points
Survive for longer in games, the higher you finish, the more XP you get
Party up as you can earn a bonus 5% XP for every friend you play with
If you can, get a full squad together and you can earn an extra 10% XP every round
Complete challenges to earn big one-off sums of XP
The Battle Pass offers XP rewards
